Module 2: What are contact-level intent signals?
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Most intent tools tell you “someone at Acme Corp is interested.” That’s like being told someone in a building of 5,000 people wants to talk to you — good luck finding them.
Contact-level intent signals are different. They tell you the specific person who is showing interest, what they’re interested in, and when they showed that interest.
Account-level vs. contact-level
Account-level intent | Contact-level intent | |
Who | “Someone at Acme Corp” | “Jane Smith, VP of Marketing at Acme” |
What | “Researching your category” | “Clicked your ad about cloud security” |
When | “Sometime recently” | “Today” |
Your action | Add to a generic list | Send a relevant, personalized message within 24 hours |
Result | Another cold email deleted | A conversation that feels timely |
